WHAT IS A SKIT?

You have a few hours to kill. A video camera. A couple of overzealous friends. And a blank tape. Enter: the creation of the skit. Another pastime. A way of spending time between projects. A way of relaxing. Self entertainment. We tread downtime between our movie projects by skitting on nearly a weekly basis. We get together with our friends and do completely improvised skits on video. We edit them in-camera -- recording the skit in chronological order, in essence editing it together as we go along. After a few hours of screwing around, we have a short movie (usually about five minutes or so) that we can pop right in the VCR and watch. Skits free of us of technical inhibitions, so we never have to worry about lighting or sound or anything else -- and we can just have fun! The Result: SCENES FROM A SUBURBAN BASEMENT. And what we come up with is what you've seen.

SHOWTIMES:

Now that the season is complete, our regular showtimes are no longer available. If you're lucky, you can still catch an episode or two on TVCA channel 11 or PCA channel 9 as they tend to play them at will.
